How Do I Become A Patient?

Dear New Patient,

We are glad you have selected WELLNESS WORKS as your holistic health provider. We have been offering cutting edge integrative and alternative medicine since 1994.

As a general rule, new patients get an hour of the staff’s time. We feel everyone deserves to be heard by his or her doctor, and this is the minimum time necessary to take a good history and complete an adequate physical exam.

Our physicians are trained beyond the ordinary in nutrition, natural medicine, and other holistic studies. We treat relatively few patients in the day, and our entire office staff at WELLNESS WORKS is specially trained to serve your needs. Our initial doctor’s visit is priced at $325. Usually, a Complete Blood Count, Chemistry-24, blood cholesterol, lipid profile, thyroid function, urinalysis, and hair mineral analysis will be ordered for new patients. These tests are not covered in the price of the office visit and may not be covered by your insurance.  Please contact your insurance company to be sure the lab you go to is contracted prior to testing. Other tests and procedures such as a Pap smear, special allergy, digestive or hormone testing may be ordered depending on your need, at an additional charge.

Our staff will inform you of any costs prior to testing. We are Medicare providers and we will assist you in recovering out of pocket costs from other insurance carriers by providing you with claim paperwork and necessary documentation however; we are a small office and cannot keep up with the rules and regulations of every insurance plan.

If you have had blood work within the past two months, please bring it with you. It is also a good idea to bring any medical records with you, especially if your history is complex. Also, bring a written list of supplements, medications, and vitamins you may be taking.

Please call our office to make an appointment and we will send you the paperwork you need to complete prior to your appointment. You may wish to keep a copy of your responses for your own records, We find that many of our patients are amazed at how quickly their situation changes for the better, and sometimes it is good to be reminded of how you felt before you started your path to optimal wellness.

WELCOME to WELLNESS WORKS!

Sincerely yours,

Carol L. Roberts, M.D.
Medical Director
